Business & Economics Teacher Kuwait City, Kuwait | Full-time | Overseas Hire | Start: August 2026 ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced Business and Economics educator looking for an exciting opportunity to teach abroad in the Middle East? Kuwait English School (KES) is seeking a talented and driven Business & Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across our Secondary and Sixth Form programmes, including GCSE and A-Level Business and Economics. SALARY & BENEFITS Benefit Details Start Date August 2026 Airfare Initial round-trip flight to Kuwait for first contract year; yearly ticket allowance Kuwait / London / Kuwait for teacher and eligible dependants thereafter (KD 260 adult / KD 130 child 12+ / KD 92 child under 12) Accommodation Furnished school accommodation with all utilities included (Salwa, Salmiya, or Hawally). Where not assigned: KD 195/month (single) or KD 315/month (teaching couple) Health Insurance Free private medical insurance for overseas staff. Dependants may enrol at staff member’s own cost Settling-in Allowance KD 200 for first contract year only Excess Baggage Maximum 100 GBP reimbursement for first contract year only Visa Expenses KD 100 reimbursed for staff arriving in Kuwait with a completed Work Visa obtained overseas Tuition Discount 50% discount for up to 2 children of overseas teaching staff enrolled at KES Sick Leave 6 days full pay · 6 days ¾ pay · 6 days ½ pay · 6 days ¼ pay Other Leave Bereavement (5 days + airline ticket) · Maternity (40 days paid) · Personal (2 days) · Hajj (21 days after 5 years) End-of-Service Gratuity Per Kuwait Labour Law: 15/26 monthly wage/year (years 1–5); full monthly wage/year (year 6+). Capped at 18 years. Contract Length 2 years (renewable)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field Valid teaching license (QTS preferred) Experience teaching GCSE and / or A-Level Business or Economics Strong knowledge of business, finance, and macroeconomic principles Excellent communication and classroom management skills Native or near-native English speaker Ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for secondary students Committed, student-centred, and collaborative approach to teaching
