Master's Degree in Teacher of Philology
I am a passionate, adaptable, and internationally minded educator who enjoys working with students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I believe effective teaching is built on strong relationships, clear expectations, empathy, and creating a classroom where students feel safe to participate, make mistakes, and grow. My teaching style is student-centred, structured, and inclusive. I enjoy designing engaging lessons, differentiating instruction for different ability levels, using technology meaningfully, and helping students develop both academic confidence and independent learning skills. Alongside my education background, my previous professional experience in quality assurance and data integrity strengthened my analytical thinking, organisation, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within professional teams. I bring these transferable skills into my teaching practice, particularly in assessment, progress tracking, planning, and continuous improvement. I am committed to ongoing professional development and to contributing positively to a collaborative international school community.
I have over four years of international teaching experience across primary, lower secondary, secondary, adult, and online education settings. I taught Secondary English at Vifak Academy in Somaliland, where I taught reading comprehension, academic writing, grammar, and oral communication; planned lessons aligned with curriculum objectives; assessed student progress; and supported exam preparation. I previously taught English at 100. Yıl Ortaokulu in Istanbul and at Complexe Scolaire Bedir in Niger, working with primary, upper-primary, and lower-secondary students in multicultural environments. My responsibilities included lesson planning, differentiated instruction, formative and summative assessment, classroom management, and supporting mixed-ability learners. I have also taught Russian to adult learners in Türkiye and currently teach English online, using CEFR-aligned lesson planning, communicative methodology, learner profiling, progress monitoring, and educational technology.
