Introduction

I am a passionate and dedicated English teacher with experience teaching learners from Grades 1–11, with a strong focus on Grades 1–7. I enjoy creating engaging, supportive, and learner-centred lessons that help students build confidence and develop their English skills. I specialise in literacy, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. I adapt my teaching approach to suit each learner’s individual needs and use creative activities and technology to make lessons interactive and enjoyable. My goal is to help every learner make meaningful progress while developing a genuine confidence and interest in learning.

Teaching experience

I am a qualified and experienced English educator with teaching experience across Grades 1–11, with extensive experience in Grades 1–7. I have taught English and core subjects, including serving as a Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher and teaching Senior Phase English, particularly Grade 7. My experience includes lesson planning and curriculum delivery, literacy and language development, reading, writing, grammar, assessment, classroom management, differentiated instruction, and learner support. I use engaging, learner-centred teaching methods and integrate educational technology and AI-powered resources to enhance learning. I also have experience communicating with parents, collaborating with colleagues, monitoring learner progress, and creating inclusive learning environments.
