Introduction

Hi, I’m Gcina, a qualified Mathematics educator and tutor with a passion for helping learners become confident in Mathematics. I specialise in Grades 8–12 Mathematics and Grades 10–12 Mathematical Literacy, and I have experience supporting learners with everything from foundational concepts and homework to exam preparation and more challenging topics. My teaching style is patient, structured and adaptable. I believe learners understand Mathematics best when concepts are explained clearly, connected to real-life situations and practised step by step. I also enjoy using technology and interactive resources to make online lessons more engaging and to monitor learner progress. Through my teaching experience and Fourways Maths, I have supported learners across different curricula and ability levels. My goal is always to create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, build confidence and develop the skills to solve problems independently.

Teaching experience

Qualified Mathematics educator with experience across independent and public-school settings, specialising in Grades 8–12 Mathematics and Grades 10–12 Mathematical Literacy. Experienced in CAPS, IEB and Cambridge-aligned teaching, with a demonstrated 100% pass rate and distinctions in classes including Grade 12. SACE-registered, technology-focused and committed to learner-centred teaching. Founder of Fourways Maths (www.fourwaysmaths.co.za), a mathematics education centre.
