I’m an English teacher and filmmaker who loves finding creative ways to help students speak with confidence. My lessons are practical and lively, with plenty of conversation, visuals, and activities built around students’ interests. Filmmaking has taught me how to use images and stories to make ideas stick, and I bring that same approach to teaching. I pay attention to what each student needs and make sure they have time to use what they’ve learned.
Teaching experience
I have taught English to children and adults in both group classes and one-on-one lessons. At Burlington Live Speaking, I taught students ages 6 to 15, and at the Chinese-American Planning Council in New York, I teach English to adult learners. I also tutor students from different countries and have taught filmmaking in Cuba and New York. These experiences have helped me adapt my lessons to different ages, levels, and learning goals.
