Introduction

I am a patient, friendly, and enthusiastic English teacher who enjoys creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment. I use a student-centred approach, adapting my lessons to each learner’s level, needs, and interests. I make lessons effective by using conversation, questions, visuals, and practical activities to encourage students to participate confidently and improve their English skills.

Teaching experience

I have experience teaching English through my teaching practice at a Montessori preschool in Durban, where I worked with Grade R learners aged 4–5. I supported their literacy, communication, and language development through engaging and age-appropriate activities. I also volunteer with ENGin, where I provide online English conversation practice to learners. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate and I am currently in my second year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Foundation Phase Teaching.
